Merry Christmas, World!!

Merry Christmas & Caroling

It’s Christmas!  For Christians it is a joyous time of year!  A time of celebration in remembrance of the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus the Christ.

A little over 2000 years ago, God stepped into time and into the universe He had created, as a human baby.  The humblest of mortal beginnings for the mighty eternal One who created everything.  Born to a young woman in a stable and having an animal feed trough for His bed.  His first visitors were shepherds from the surrounding fields, the lowliest of the inhabitants of the land.  Angels had come to them in the night and told them of the birth of the Messiah.  They announced that the way to peace had arrived for all mankind.  The story of Jesus’ infancy starts as one of adoration and worship by local peasants and foreign dignitaries, and also includes divine protection from harm by jealous rulers.

While remaining fully divine, He became fully human to live a sin free life for our future.  As He grew from new born into a mature man, He faced the same trials and temptations that all humanity experiences, and in all that living He did not sin.  He felt the same pain and agony of love and loss that all humans do.  In doing so He made it possible for mankind to receive the greatest gifts in history of eternity:

  • Redemption – With His death, He paid the debt mankind owes for sin and set all humanity free from the tyranny of sin
  • Reconciliation – His perfect life and sacrificial death reconciled mankind with God.  He restored the relationship man had with God before Adam and Eve sinned and  it for all humanity.  He is the bridge that spans the gap between the Creator and His creation.  There is no other way to a personal relationship with God, the only way is through Jesus Christ
  • Salvation – Freedom from sin and its consequences is only available through faith in Jesus Christ.  With His resurrection, He defeated death and the grave, and made eternal life possible for all who believe in Him.

These gifts are by the Grace of God.  They cannot be earned.  They are freely offered to all mankind because of His great love for us.  Accept the gift – live the life – live forever!

These gifts are quite different from those we have come to expect at this time of year.  These will last for eternity – never losing their luster and tarnishing, never growing old and fading from our interest, never breaking, and never getting lost.  Imagine, if you can, an eternity of love, joy, and peace!  Awesome life in eternal living color!

All of you, please come join us in celebration of this universe changing event.  Join the believers of Jesus and only look forward to the wonderful future He has in store for us!  Merry Christmas, world.
